Museum for Industrial Culture

Facts & Figures

In the mid-1980s, a new type of museum was created in Nuremberg, merging technology, cultural and social history: the Museum for Industrial Culture in the East of Nuremberg.

The museum is located in the hall of a former bolt factory which belonged to the “Ironwork Julius Tafel”, founded in 1876 and closed in 1975. This hall and the neighbouring administration building are the last remaining building of this once very large industrial area; the rest of the former Tafelwerk was torn down in 1990.

Accessible at ground level.
