The Historic Town Hall is the centrepiece and the most famous component of the Old Town Hall. Designed in accordance with drafts by Albrecht Dürer, the hall burned down to the surrounding walls in 1945, and the paintings were destroyed. Today, the hall is used as an event location for events of all types and sizes.
